Winter’s Arrival

As winter arrives, I am reminded of its unique beauty. The distinct whites and blues and yellows of the season. A coyote crossing the frozen waters of an urban lake. The patterns and textures of snow across grasses. The shapes of flocked trees. The solitude of a usually busy trail, made treacherous and peaceful by the recent storm. In all of this I discover the shift, and relish in the moments of change.
